Paint Brand Conceptual Design

I wanted to tackle the problem of harmful chemicals in interior paint. It is difficult to determine whether paint is non-toxic if it is already on the walls. I designed a chemical-reactive paint that can be applied over any standard interior paint. The paint actively seeks for and neutralizes harmful chemicals in previous layers. I hope this project brings attention to chemical use in interior paint and helps create a safer environment for everyone. Stylistically I was inspired by the science behind how the paint would work and therefore pulled imagery from the periodic table. Degular is an elevated modern san serif, inspired by helvetic, the most commonly used typeface in the periodic table. Each paint color is named after a harmful chemical found in paint. 2022
